A recultivation plan had previously been prepared for a disused sand quarry in Veresegyház. Our task was to assess whether the plan was still feasible given the site's current condition, and whether the construction debris accumulated on site could be placed within the quarry.
We surveyed the site with our own drone, and our GIS specialist colleague carried out the volume calculations from the imagery. Based on the target base level, slope conditions, site size and topography, we determined whether the material could be accommodated on site. Our plant health specialist colleague took part in the vegetation survey and in defining the recultivation goal.
Alongside the review, we prepared an action plan that guides the client through the entire process.
